The cake that nearly died in Sydney’s humidity! 6" double barrel base tier consisting of Vanilla cake with white choc ganache and caramel mud with caramel ganache. Top tier of rich chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream.
All the fish etc were supposed to be hand painted but the humidity was so high that pearl lustre had to suffice.
This cake fought me till the end, and I had wanted to do this theme for so long. I wanted it to be perfect for my gorgeous friend, never mind :(

You must never limit your challenges, instead you must challenge your limits

Awwww…thanks Ladies! I should add the photo of the cake on the buffet table…the clam which was hard when I left home flopped down and covered the baby so had to be removed and because the top tier was full of choc buttercream, it nearly oozed off the cake all together…I was so upset!! The double barrel was solid and straight as a arrow….i LOVE Ganache!! ;)

It looks absolutely perfect to me Raewyn! I love your perfect ombre ruffles, and the shimmer on the sea creatures. Very elegant. So sorry you had to deal with that darn humidity!!
