I think I can safely say the ladies love their shoes and handbags…
These were my very first attempt at making sugarpaste shoes, back in 2011. I made my own templates and built my own shapes with polymer clay… my only reference was these photos of the real thing (see 4th picture-collage photo) as I was unable to have the real shoe in front of me.
in this collage (3rd photo) I have added the real shoes next to cake & shoes I made.
At the time I did these I did not think to do a tutorial, but I have a new project coming up and will do a tutorial on these to share with you all.
The lady who I did this for (My ex-boss who came up with the name “Callicious” ) who received this 60th cake, would not cut the cake for days and she still has the shoes preserved in her cabinet at her home.
I cant wait for my next project!! :)
