She's A Lady

I saw the border done by The Pastry Studio and loved it. I finally got to try this simple border out on a young lady who loves pink.

Cakes are my canvas and icing is the medium of my choice.

Thanks everyone! (Funfetti) The flower was cut freehand with an Xacto Knife, just weaving in and out and in no particular pattern. I did try to keep it within the circumference of a 3 1/2 inch circle. I made three layers, getting smaller with each one in and used a button mold to make the center. The only shading or painting I did to it was on the button center and that was Albert Uster silver. I did vein it with a Wilton veiner and thin out the petal edges. This is the second one I have made like this and it seems to be a big hit.
