Owl's Tree House

I travelled all the way to NZ to make this for my niece (got some odd looks at customs as I had opted for cake tins and rolling pins instead of clothes lol)
The tree is made from sugarpaste covered rice crispie treats, the turrets are the cakes and the details are painted in edible UV reflective paints with lights in the windows.
The owl on the ground is bathing in a “mud” pool full of ganache to dip fresh fruit in

This is so adorable. A perfect dream cake for your niece – she must have been thrilled. I love the idea of the mud pool for dipping fruit. Totally brilliant.

It was designed around her bedroom as that has loads of owls and her bed is designed to be a “Tree house” along with UV paintings and black lights for fun
