This was my entry for the Wedding Cake Category at Cake International NEC .

Wow! What an experience! I haven’t entered there before (it is an awful long time since I entered a competition, and that was a small British Sugarcraft Guild one but still terrifying) I was absolutely thrilled and somewhat disbelieving to get a Gold.
It is huge! Such a busy show and so much to see, I definitely didn’t get round everything. Such amazing cakes.

I love woodland and nature so this had to be the style of cake for me.
