My company is named after my daughter, Giannette "Gia". I started cake as a hobby about 3 years ago. I was like hmmmm this looks fun. I was always creative and good with play-doh, which is kinda like fondant.lol
I have no artistic background. I actually have a full time job and it's not cake. I've been a Probate Paralegal for over 14 years, which law can suck the life out of ya. I make and create cake only on weekends.
In cake I'm self taught like many others.
I've taken one class so far at Cake Fest, Louisiana 2015, which was Mayen's. Her class was super amazing. There's still so many things I'd like to learn and so many cake artists I'd love to meet. Not because I want to be like them, each person has their own talents, but I can definitely learn from them and they seem so fun and friendly.
Also, I love to give back, weather it be someone that truly can't afford an amazing cake or for charities like, Jayde's Apple A Day Program, Relay for Life, Make A Wish Foundation and of course Icing Smiles!
Smiles are what drive me!
O and I'm working on being a better cake photographer..
So thanks for stopping by to read about me and I hope everyone has a FaBuLiCiOuS day!
