re: What is your main job?

Hi Michal and everybody,
I’m analytical chemist working at the state laboratoty doing pesticide residue analysis (mostly of food, but also other matrices, such as flowers). So, I’m well aware how commercial flowers are treated with a lot of pesticides in large quantities. It is therefore my opinion that they are not suitable for contact with food items (such as cakes, unless protected somehow from possible transfer of pesticides to cake). I enjoy baking cakes, but mostly I enjoy decorating them with sugar flowers, wafer paper flowers, hand-painted decorations etc. I hope that one day I could start my own cake bussiness :-). Best wishes, Darina
