I started my cake decorating adventure in the 1970’s as a hobby, by the early 1980s I ran it as a part time business in the evening (I worked in an office 9.00 – 5.00), by the late 1980s it was my full time job – making cakes to order, teaching cake decoration, demonstrating cake decorating and writing articles for magazines. I have written two books on the subject which were sold worldwide (one is now out of print). I am still earning my income in the same way but teaching is what I do the most of now – I teach all aspects of sugarcraft, but Royal Icing is my passion.
