Hi Roo!! I def think your oven is to hot or maybe you are leaving it in too long.
This happened to me first couple of times with cake lace, everyones oven is different so their timings may not be right for your oven. I played around turning the oven down a little and then kept looking every 3 to 4mins so I could keep checking it and get the perfect time for it to be ready. I have never had a problem since. I know its a pain to check it every couple of minutes, but once you’ve done this you can find the perfect time for your oven and you know how long to leave it for next time!!
