1 inch styrofoam disks are quite good ‘board’ for stacking for beginners…they’re thick and.offer lots.of stability for the cake. Push marzipan.into any divets in your fruit cake.to smooth the surface and then cover as usual…..you can use bubble tea or very thick straws as dowels in your cake. You can Google dowel placement. Cut the straws about 1/8 inch above your cake.surface to.prevent the cakes touching …..add a blob of royal icing to glue the board in.place. Push a wooden center dowel all the way through the cake and through the bottom drum to.provide you with lots.of stability when travelling, delivering. You should have a nice stable cake. :-)
