I do similar to the video also, but also do what jchuck said… put the cake on a stand in a larger box (I use a 4 inch tall plastic storage container that is really long and wide to accommodate all my different sizes of cakes. I do this with the crumbs, sprinkles and for PEARLS! Because those little pearls man, if you drop them they just bounce away. I still find them tucked into corners of my dining room and I’ve been doing it this way for about a year!
