Aww… Yes I don’t like being told how to make a cake down to every detail, or being given another person’s cake to copy, or most of all having changes after ordering (that I really hate because I start preparations and make details well in advance). But I treat requests as a negotiation, and if i think something is a very bad idea i suggest an alternative, so far that’s worked. I also have a cake request form where I clearly state any changes once the form is submitted may not be possible, or may incur extra cost so please be very sure what you want as I would like you to have the best cake possible, and don’t want to have to rush it or charge a lot extra, or both. Parents may put their foot down more if they realise it’ll cost them more as well as inconvenience you… But I can’t say for sure as I haven’t been in the situation yet! Xx
