:D I would use the round cake so you do not have to carve as much.. just like you said cut it down the middle and then stack them standing up carve if needed to get the right shape…. this is for only the bottom portion of the bottle the neck part I would make of fondant and attach to the cake,,. and then ice and put in freezer to let the icing get hard or you could let it chill in the frig.. it is better when the icing has set before you put the fondant on….. that way you don’t get the icing on your fondant :D hope this is helpful :D good luck :D :D
