Q&A: How to start a home based cakery business?
I am in Alabama, I want to start my own home based cake business, but before I do that would like to find out about the laws and regulations. I would appreciate if I could be given some guidance how to go about.

I’m in Canada, and don’t have a business. But I do know you have to contact the local health department and city planning department about the rules and regulations where you live. Each city has their own set of regulations regarding home based businesses. Also you should seriously think about creating a business plan. Looking into insurance for your business. And reach out to other home based cake decorating businesses in your area and see if you can get some guidance.
