Tony Wright has been baking and decorating cakes for over a decade. Prior to moving to New York City, he studied under renowned cake designer Jan Kish. Tony has also worked for Colette Peters, Margaret Braun, Kate Sullivan and Rose Levy Beranbaum on various projects.
Tony’s designs have been featured in numerous publications including Bride’s Magazine, Bridal Guide Magazine and The NY Daily News, and he was a winner of the 2009 “Most Beautiful Cakes” feature in Bride’s Magazine. He has been a lead competitor on The Food Network “Cake Challenge” and worked as a primary assistant to Jan Kish on TLC’s “Ultimate Cake-Off”.
His interests include research on historical and traditional English cake decoration, Royal Icing piping techniques, and refining recipes for use with unprocessed sugars and flours.
