How to build a round box.

Sometimes I can’t buy the perfect box to pack my cakes or cake toppers, so I make them myself.
Here is a step by step to build a round box and use it several times.

You will need:
1 cardboard sheet (at least, as long as the circumference of the bottom of your cake,
1 plastic dish (large enough for the bottom of your cake)
4 paper clips,
scissors,
stapler,
hot glue gun (better) or scotch tape.

Cut the cardboard to reach at least the height of your cake and save
the cutout for later.

Roll up the cardboard sheet to get a paper cylinder.

Secure the edges with the stapler.

Glue the plastic dish to the bottom of your cylinder (pay attention with the glue gun!).

With the cutouts build a cross as in the pictures below.

Set your cake exactly in the center of the cross. You want to build an elevator! Lol.

Lift your cake, as in the pic below, and set it in your new box.

Bend the ends of the paper cross and secure them with 4 paper clips.

To take the cake off, just remove the clips and lift the cake back.
You can also build the lid of the box the same way.
