'Dark Wedding' – Gothic Wedding Cake Tutorial

Hello everyone.I’m a little late with this tutorial here on CakesDecor, but Cake International took all my time!!!
But I still want to share with you my latest tutorial.
In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use lace to make a ruffle drapped effect, imprint on sugar paste with dust colours, how to make sugar Honeycomb Dhalia and fantasy Myosotis (Forget-me-not), and many other things.

Here is what you’ll need:

NON-EDIBLES:

  • 12’’ round black base
    Lace mat (Silikomart Wondercakes Baroque Mat)
    Scraper
    Siliconised greaseproof paper
    Small rolling pin
    Cutters: plaque, ≈1cm flower, ≈3cm five petal flower, ≈6cm five petal flower, daisy (large), tear drop (2 sizes)
    Lace strip
    Moulds: skull (Liz Marek small skull), baroque details
    Brushes: round (10/0, 5/0, 3/0, 0, 2, 6), flat (10), fluffy (6, 1’’)
    Ball tools
    Flower wire #18, #24
    Wire cutter
    Center buds ≈2cm diameter
    PME piping tip
    Foam pad
    Veining tool

EDIBLES:

  • 6’’ and 8’’ round cakes covered with black sugarpaste
    White chocolate
    Black sugar lace
    Black sugar paste
    Edible glue
    Small round black confettis
    Flower paste: black, white, ruby, grass green
    Dust colours: silver, white, lilac, sunflower, ivy, vine, hyacinth, dusky pink, black, ruby
    Confectioners glaze
    Cleaning solution
    Lemon extract
