How to make Food Safe Moulds

A tutorial on how to make food safe moulds much like silicone to use for cake decorating with fondant/sugarpaste/modelling paste/gumpaste/flower paste alike. Includes a demonstration on how to use them and advice on how to store them. These hasle free moulds are a bit tricky to make and can get extremely hot so please take care when using and making the mixture.
This moulding substance is completely re-usable and can be melted a few times but beware the stench of the gelatine :-P

The recipe is simple…always stick to 1 part gelatine to 1 part glycerine :)

Thanks for posting and sharing. I can’t get granulated gelatin here in Canada. Would powdered gelatin work as well?
