Painting on fondant!
I have been looking at how to paint on cakes, and found a simple edible paint recipe! But as I’m not that good at painting I was hoping their was a way to trace an image, and paint over it! So if you know any ways please let me know! :D

Yes, you can do that. Trace your image and gently outline it onto your fondant with a pointed cel stick, I actually use my mum’s old small knitting needle as it has a lovely firm point… All you need is the the outline. Then carefully looking at the image you are copying, use your colours to build up your painting. I have a hand painted tutorial video coming out in Feb sometime. Then another a couple of months after that, both will be available online.

Calli is one of the best people I know for painting on cakes so if she is offering to help you then you are nuts not to take her up on her offer. She has done some of the best painted cakes I have ever seen and I know she will stick with you until you get it. Good luck and I cannot wait to see what you come up with. I too would like to give that technique a try one day.
