Hi, my name is Veronica. I started seriously cake decorating in 2004 when I decided to make my daughter's 4th birthday cake. I had always baked since I was a child and I did cookie and cupcake decorating- but always dreamed of cake decorating. My daughter's cake came out pretty good and after that, I was hooked. Within a few years, I was seriously considering opening my own shop- I was making cakes almost every weekend, lol! Soon after that, I made a decision to cut back the amount of caking i did in order to focus on my kids. Since then, I only make cakes for family and just for fun. I now have a baking/food blog which is the perfect outlet for my creative side. Cake styles have changed so much since I first started cake decorating- I'm blown away by the cakes I'm seeing on this site. I love getting inspired by all of these cakes and want to continue pushing myself to improve.
