Hi , I am Delilah from Mumbai India. I have been baking since 1994 but I got into it full fledged only in the last 3-4 yrs. I haven't gone for any formal training or classes. I give credit to all the people on youtube and pinterest and their tutorials. I still have a lot to learn. But being in India, its not easy to get all the lovely stuff the rest of the world can lay its hands on. Ingredients which may be normal for Americans, Europeans etc is gourmet stuff here and we have to pay a lot to acquire it. Tools are available but mostly Chinese. If you see, I tend to make just single tier cakes, that's because people here are not really cake savvy and are aghast at the prices we quote for such stuff. Most of the people don't even know the difference between fondant marzipan gumpaste modelling chocolate. They are used to eating the lousy cream stuff which is cheap..
I am a working woman and Cake decorating is my passionate hobby, which incidentally I get paid for :-) . I am new to cakesdecor and still trying to get a hang of it.
Cheers and all the best to all the awesome cakers out there.
Regards, Delilah
