Gorgeous! I love the cake and the cake stand!! Happy belated birthday!
Hi Alaroch. I used Americolour Fuchsia for both the cake and flower. The flower is the true colour, and the cake was made with a few drops to get a lighter colour.
Lolly cake isn’t actually cake at all, it is more of a slice. It’s very popular in New Zealand and seems to becoming more popular to have as a top tier on a wedding cake. Its melted butter and condensed milk, crushed malt biscuits and then chopped up eskimo lollies (which are like fruit puffs), I also added chopped up liquorice allsorts. I then pressed it into my baking tin and put in the fridge to set, but it is normally rolled into a log or pressed into a slice type tin and then shredded coconut over top.

Thanks Raewyn. My apologies for the late reply, I missed your kind post. Lolly cake seems to be the ‘in’ thing at the moment, and I have heard of some brides requesting a tier to be lolly cake. It does seem to be a hit with the kids and a few of the ‘bigger’ kids ;-)
