Julia, I always try to do one of my Christmas cakes with colours that are not so Christmassy!!!
Gunlaz, it happens to me a lot too! Most cake decorators have their own style and even if we try to diversify that decorator’s particular style still manages to appear in each cake. A funny thing happend to me a few weeks ago. I tried to use a different cutter for the Christmas Roses I used in my ‘Dear Santa …’ cake to try an make them more realistic and did not frill the edges as much as I used to do but the end result was that they were almost identical to a couple of roses I had left over from last year!!!!
