re: My first wedding cake

Thanks everyone. I cant believe the response that I have gotten from this cake. I have to admit that the corners are so sharp because this cake was done on styrofoam. I have to say though that I would much prefer to work with cake, as it is more spongie and more forgiving. Styrofoam is very hard and has divots. It dries out the fondant very quickly, you have to work fast of it tares. The bride was so happy with it, and I just got the wonderful news that they are already pregnant and we will be doing plenty more cakes…… baby shower, birthdays and baptism!
