I have been a hobby cake decor for several years but took the plunge july 2011 and gave up my full time job in education to open a cake supplies/ celebration cake shop. although it is very challenging and stressful at times i do enjoy it and havnt looked back. i have gone from creating 4 novelty cakes a week to approx 21 cakes on an average week excluding cupcakes. the hardest thing has to be keeping up the standard having to make so many per week ( due to overhead costs etc) as i do get frustrated working on a tight time scale.
