A wedding on Dia De Los Muertos in a city that embraces it as Tucson does, inspired this offrenda featuring the couple’s wedding cakes. On the table as well were traditional offrenda items such as photos of deceased loved ones, favorite candies, prayer candles, and the iconic marigold flower. Cake flavors and the selection of gumpaste flowers were chosen from favorites of mothers and grandmothers. Four tier centerpiece wedding cake is finished in chocolate black fondant with royal piping. The couple commissioned a custom porcelain topper. Mexican Hot Chocolate Cake is filled with Red Chile Chocolate Ganace and Vanilla Bean Buttermilk cake is filled with Cinnamon Sugar Churro buttercream.

It’s rare to get wedding cake so exceptional the guest keep asking you where you got it. It was placed front and center as you enter the ballroom. The Cake table/ofrenda was definitely the star of the reception! The detailed stamping of marigold petals is exceptional! The attention to detail in the papeles picados was awesome! The lemon raspberry cake was one of my favorites! I was honored to have such a wonderful special cake at my reception!
