This cake was for my dear friend’s husband’s 50th birthday. She surprised him with a spur-of-the-moment trip to New York City, which he loves. She had me make the cake with his favorite things from New York. I used edible images for most of the landmarks, the Spiderman poster, & the pictures of Times Square. The food is made of modeling chocolate, & the signs & stars are gumpaste. The cake is Chocolate Mud filled with Salted Caramel Buttercream with Heath Bar toffee bits & covered in milk chocolate ganache.
