My first proper shoe box cake! The customer took a 100 mile round trip to collect this cake so it was a huge honour that they ordered from me. The birthday girl loves Louboutin and bought herself a pair for her birthday. The spec was that I could do what I liked with the design as long as it had the shoe. The cake is vanilla and covered in Belgian chocolate ganache. I wanted to change the shoe box from the typical Louboutin box as it’s quite a drab colour so I went for the cream and added the signature red dust bag with hand painted logo. The ‘floor’ is airbrushed. The shoe was made freehand with no cutters hence it came out a little smaller than I’d have liked but in the end I was quite pleased with it and most importantly, the customer was thrilled :) All decoration is handmade and completely edible.
