This cake was requested by a husband for his wife celebrating her 40th birthday. There was no question that the theme would be equestrianism as the lady is a keen 3 day eventer. She sadly lost her ‘bestie’ last year to equine colic and decided to hold a fundraising event combined with 40th party to raise money for research into the condition. The horses are made from modelling chocolate and fondant and are modelled on photos of her actual horses – she said this brought a tear to her eye!
