Today is my mum’s birthday and last week she announced she didn’t want a birthday cake. My mum doesn’t really like cake, never has. So here is her not a cake birthday cake. The tea cup, plate and tea pot are all made from either sugarpaste or gum paste, as is the fressia. On the plate is what she actually wanted, mini strawberry tarts from M&S. Cheating a bit, but the macaron is mine and the cupcakes are for the rest of us that do like cake!
