I was asked for a Jemima Puddle Duck cake so I had to go and read up on the story….
After I got over the sadness of the story (that poor duck had a rough time!) I was thinking “Oh my word, how do I make that into a nice three tier cake?!”
I went with focussing on the good bits, so I had Jemima with her ducklings that she eventually had on the top and flowers that feature in the book around the top tier.
Middle tier I went with lots of feathers and the cakes message.
And the bottom one was pink and ruffled …. Well because it’s for a girl and Jemima wears a pink shawl.
The flavours are (from the top) Chocolate with chocolate fudge frosting, lemon with lemon syrup and lemon curd buttercream and the bottom tier is vanilla with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream.
Thanks for looking. :)
