I made this cake for a friends 21st. It was a complete surprise for her, the design ideas were left up to me – I was told yellow was her favourite colour & that was it. I really wanted to do a pretty ruffle cake as I hadn’t tried that yet! & just in time my chevron cutter & plaque cutters arrived from Not Just Cakes by Annie :) so that cemented what I wanted to do on the top tier :)
It was a cake of firsts, my first time spraying silver lustre dust on a cake! that was fun! ;) first ruffle, first ruffle flower! and first time using the 21 cutters. I really didn’t know what I was doing with them, but miraculously it worked! Cakes were 7inch bottom & 5inch top :) thanks for looking!! kez* x
