This is my 2nd wedding cake ever. It was supposed to have fresh freesias and other flowers on it. When I arrived at the venue to set it up I am informed that there are NO flowers. So I had to make the small bouquets of flowers on the fly by “borrowing 1 flower” from each of the silk arrangements on the tables. Luckily I had posie pics and a pastry bag with royal icing on hand. The drape was made of gumpaste just 30 mins. before setting up so it would still be flexible enough to attach it to the cake.
