This is a Guiro cake.. A Guiro is a Caribbean instrument and the birthday boy loves playing his Guiro! The sleek black is a nod to the orchestra which typically are in black tie. The red gives the cake a little sass and the design of the red is a bit Art Deco (nod to miami’s Art Deco district which is a Caribbean melting pot)
