This cake was commissioned for a 40th birthday for a guy who loves spear fishing. The Monkey was added to the design because his niece could not say his name so called him uncle monkey.. the name has stuck.
The client did not want buttercream so I tried my hand at ganache. Well I really had to play with the ratios as it is the middle of the summer here. I have to admit that I did a little happy dance when it actually worked.
6 inch cake fondant finish with a ganache under coat ..yea!
