When I received my assignment for this Operation Sugar cake I was so pleased as this boy Jayden goes to my daughter’s school and so in some small way I already knew his story.
He was diagnosed with a Brain tumour a few years ago which was treated and he went into remission. Then earlier this year he found out that a new tumour had grown. I spoke to him on the phone about his cake and he was so excited and told me that he would like a Pirate themed cake. So I created this for him and his expression when I delivered it and he saw it was fantastic, he was speechless.
It is such an honour making a cake that creates special memories for a family and I could not be more honoured and humbled to have made this for Jayden’s 11th Birthday.
