100% Buttercream flowers and cake. I frosted cake in white buttercream and then put small amounts of sage green and smoothed again for a marbled look.
I piped all flowers directly on cake, starting w/ white dahlia’s, then sunflowers, orange peonies, blue forget-me-nots, purple pansy flowers~ leaf bottom boarder in ruffle pattern, and 2-tone leaves and vines.

I too envy your piping talent! Piping is something I just have not had much practice in. I hope to take a class one day. Your flowers are so gorgeous!!

Whitecrafty (Toni)~ You just made me feel wonderful! I kinda feel behind the times w/ all the fabulous artists out there.. have been in this since 1980! But, have always specialized in buttercream… I need to practice some gum paste and more fondant applications~ ;)
