I made this cake for a friend’s son. I was told to do a zombie cake, and to make it as gruesome as possible. Everything was edible, I made the hand, eyeball, brain and gravestone from fondant. The “dirt” was Oreo cookie crumbs and the cake was a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream. I covered the eyeball with piping gel to give it that real glossy effect, and the blood was also piping gel coloured red. The fingernails on the hand are almond slivers. On the gravestone I wrote H.9.B for Happy 9th Birthday.
