David transformed his vast stretch of lawn into a gardeners paradise, he has 4 raised beds, a huge greenhouse and he even built in a watering system that uses rainwater collected from water butts!!

The cake project was another first for me, when I am caking I like to try something new each time so I am condtantly learning and developing my skills. This was the first standing fondant figure and the first fondant ‘structure’ that I have made. The greenhouse is panels of hand painted fondant glued together with royal icing! I have learnt quite a lot from doing this cake and the decorations including how not to create a standing figure :)

I am really pleased with how this has turned out and more importantly the birthday boy loved it and instantly recognised that it was his garden! Mission accomplished!!
