I made this cake for my friend’s little girl, she loved it! The shoe was made from flower paste and the little girl wanted to keep it so I placed it on a separate board for her. As it wasn’t going to be eaten (who would want to eat a flowerpaste shoe anyway!) she didn’t mind me putting real diamantes on it (i.e. non-edible), they were extremely sparkly but unfortunately the photo doesn’t pick this up. I wanted the rest of the cake to be pretty but not take the attention away from the shoe too much so I decided on a ruffle effect which was really easy to do. x
