I made this cake for my mum’s birthday yesterday. I knew I wanted to do ruffles but I wanted to do something different from the rose ruffles that are so popular right now, so I came up with butterfly ruffles. Other than the ruffles I had no idea where I was going with this one, it evolved on it’s own. Quite pleased how it turned out in the end :)
