I made this cake recently for my good friend Anne, on the occasion of her 70th birthday. The bottom tier is a rich fruit cake and the top is a chocolate fudge, filled and covered in dark chocolate ganache before the entire cake is covered in fondant. The bottom tier is quilted and studded with silver coloured dragees. I handmade the yellow roses topping off the cake, choosing yellow because it reminds me of a jacket Anne wears. I’m pleased to say she was delighted with her cake, which I really enjoyed making. Thanks for looking. :)
