A wedding cake made for a couple who got engaged in Paris. I don’t tend to work with royal icing very much and so tend to get a bit nervous when making run outs but I was absolutely delighted with how the Eiffel Towers turned out. There were so many intricate lines that I was concerned I might make it look like a big gloopy mess but I think they are all quite distinct which was a massive relief.
The design is based on an anniversary cake by Peggy Porschen from her book ‘Cake Chic’ with slight changes made to the colour palette and position of the hearts & tower.
The tiers are 6", 9" & 12" sponge cakes
