I made this cake topper for a dear friend 1800km away. Her son’s first birthday is coming up soon, and she asked if I could make a custom Edmonton Oilers topper, very fitting for a Canadian baby boy. I had so much fun designing and creating this for him, and I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing it made it to Nova Scotia safely! I designed the backboard on my pc and printed it off on edible paper (along with the team logo on his jersey, I do not have a very steady hand to even attempt hand-painting something like that!). I had the most fun coming up with the player stats :). The backboard is held up with popsicle sticks, painted with gel paste to match the team colours.
