Great fun putting this Roullette Table together for a lady’s 60th Birthday. The Table is carved from a 12" square mud cake, ganached and decorated. The roulette is a topper which lifts off and is made with sugarpaste. The wood effect is achieved by mixing different colours of fondant together and rolling them out in long sections before the colour is completely combined. I used a bit of cocoform with the fondant. I smoothed a very light coat of trex over it to create the sheen. The chips are very much a last minute job and not what my original plan was! All the numbers and circles are hand-painted. I received wonderful feedback about this, she apparently had fun spinning the wheel and putting the chips about! Amazed that the wheel could stand up to that!
