This cake was for my eldest daughters best friend. She dances and also does acro and contortion. I sketched her silhouette from a photo of her and then carved it out of black fondant with tylose to harden. The bow is the second one I’ve made using the fantastic tutorial from the amazingly talented English Cake Lady. The black bow was my first and was the better of the two, but the cake really needed the pink bow. This is the first time I have stencilled and can’t wait to do more. The birthday girl loved it. Thanks so much for looking :)

Thanks Amirita, I just sketched her outline from a photo and then traced it onto rolled out black gumpaste. I cut it out using an exacto knife/scalpel. I put a thin wire up into the leg and put it aside to dry. I think that’s about it :)
