I made this beautiful vertical ruffles cake for my mother this Mother’s Day and some cupcakes for the many sisters I have (and a couple of friends). I loved how gorgeous the cake turned out. My first time making ruffles, but it was easy using a wonderful tutorial I saw on Pinterest from bakersroyale.com! I just did a couple of practice runs on a jar before jumping right into the cake. It’s a 6" cream cheese pound cake with strawberry preserves and IMBC for filling and ruffles. The fantasy rose is made out of gumpaste. I was so very pleased with it and the cupcakes too! First time really doing anything other than the cupcake swirl or basic borders with piping bag. Thanks bakersroyale!
