The figurines are made out of gumpaste. 6 and 8 inch cakes are fresh Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Italian Meringue Buttercream. It’s covered and decorated in strawberry flavored MMF too. I love the way the figurines turned out and the cake design but I’m so sad over the way the fondant turned out. 4 years of decorating cakes and this one breaks my heart – I don’t know whether it’s the weather to blame or that fresh strawberries and IMBC are the culprit – why did it have to happen this time especially when this cake was a gift for a friend who is a professional photographer – yes, more sadness since the camera captures my flaws.
