Here is my Carousel Christening cake I recently made. The top tier of the cake features a self designed and hand made pastillage carousel with carousel horses. I made my own horse mould using a porcelain horse figurine and fimo clay. The carousel horses were made out of modellling paste, dusted and then steamed. The cake also features brush embroidery, tube embroidery and royal icing extension work with lace pieces.
