Sangeetha & Nitin’s Engagement cake
The lovely couple got engaged on Vishu – the Malayalam New Year day in Kerala, India. My niece Sangeetha gave me a free rein for the idea and the traditional Kerala welcome arrangement of the Uruli (a brass pot) with flowers and floating candles came to mind. Uruli is the chocolate cake and the yellow Chrysanthemums are handcrafted in gum paste accompanied by lights to create the overall effect.
